“The highest rate of return in early childhood comes from investing as early as possible.”

— James J. Heckman, Nobel Laureate in Economics

Heckman tells us when to invest — in the earliest years.
Lord Sri Krishna tells us what to invest in — consciousness, character and devotion.
Bhakta Prahlad Sunday School is where the two meet for your child.

What Today’s Research Shows About Children

These aren’t random issues - global studies reveal a clear pattern behind what parents are seeing every day:

  • 1 in 3 children now show frequent anger or frustration spikes.
  • Childhood anxiety has doubled since 2012, even in ages as young as 6–8.
  • The average child now stays on one task for only 19–20 seconds before switching.
  • Parents report a 40–50% drop in respectful behaviour compared to a decade ago.
  • Many children say they feel bored or unfulfilled despite more entertainment than ever.
  • Only 12% of children feel they can talk to their parents about God, values or deeper questions.
  • Early childhood experts agree: the nervous system is overstimulated and the heart is undernourished.

These trends explain why modern childhood feels harder — and why parents everywhere feel worried and overwhelmed.

Every Parent Feels This

Parenting has never been harder - and childhood has never been more confusing. Here are the concerns today’s parents quietly struggle with everywhere:

📱

"My child is glued to screens — I feel helpless."

Endless scrolling and games are rewiring young brains. Parents everywhere feel outpowered by screens and worried about their child’s shrinking attention span.

"My child gets angry or frustrated so quickly."

Overstimulation and pressure make emotional regulation harder. Small triggers often lead to big reactions, and parents feel unsure how to help.

😰

"Even small children seem anxious now."

Stress, comparison and constant stimulation overload young minds. Anxiety is appearing at ages where children should simply feel playful and free.

🧩

"My child can’t focus or sit still — how will they study?"

Restless minds and low attention spans make learning difficult. Parents worry how this will affect studies, behaviour and confidence long-term.

😟

"My child has everything… but isn’t truly happy."

Despite toys, activities and entertainment, many children feel restless or unfulfilled. Parents fear their child is missing deeper joy and inner connection.

"Where will my child learn real values?"

Schools teach academics, not character. Parents worry their child is losing touch with respect, gratitude and empathy in a fast-changing world.

🙏

"I want my child connected to God… but I don’t know how to begin."

Many parents feel unsure, unprepared or inconsistent in giving spiritual guidance. They want their child to grow with faith — but don’t know where to start.

The Missing Piece: Connection to the SOURCE of Everything – GOD!

Here’s what truly changes a child:

They don’t need more entertainment.
They don’t need more distractions.
They need inner transformation.

And that transformation begins when they discover:
Who everything comes from — Lord Krishna.

"I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me."

— Krishna telling Arjuna in Bhagavad-gītā 10.8

When a child connects to God:

Mind becomes peaceful

(not restless)

Heart becomes kind

(not self-centered)

Behavior becomes conscious

(not reactive)

Values become rooted

(not forced)

What Most Parents Want to Know

Is this just religious indoctrination?

No. BPSS teaches universal values - compassion, honesty, self-control, gratitude - through the lens of the Bhagavad-gītā. We welcome families of all backgrounds who want their children to develop strong character and spiritual awareness.

Will my child enjoy it or resist?

We use stories, music, games, art, and interactive learning - not boring lectures. Children genuinely look forward to coming because it's fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.

Do I need to be very religious for my child to attend?

Not at all. Many parents send their children to learn values they themselves wish they'd learned as kids. You don't need to be an expert—just willing to support your child's growth.

Will this affect their studies?

Research shows that calmer minds = better focus. Parents consistently report improved behavior AND academic performance after their children join BPSS. Inner peace enhances everything else.

What if my child has attention difficulties?

Many children with attention challenges thrive at BPSS because we incorporate movement, music, and meditation—activities that help regulate the nervous system and improve focus naturally.

My schedule is hectic — how much do I need to be involved?

Very little. We know parents are busy. BPSS runs smoothly even when parents simply ensure children attend regularly. We provide all teaching, materials, and follow-ups. Your role is simple: bring them on time, encourage them, and celebrate their progress.

Will my child feel left out if they are shy or introverted?

Not at all. Many children join BPSS feeling shy. Our approach uses small groups, non-competitive activities, warm teachers, and friendship-based learning. Shy children open up gently and naturally—often within just a few weeks.

What if we miss a few classes or travel often?

No problem. Every session is designed so children can rejoin anytime without feeling lost. We provide summaries and simple home activities to keep them connected. Consistency helps, but BPSS is flexible for real families with real schedules.

The BPSS Unified Family Learning System

Every week, we take one Bhagavad-gītā verse and design three age-appropriate lessons — for Juniors, Seniors, and Parents. This ensures your entire family learns the same core wisdom at their own level, in a way they can understand, practice, and remember.

Juniors (5–10): stories, crafts, games, simple activities
Seniors (10+): discussion, debate, real-life application
Parents: deeper Gītā insights + practical parenting tools

One verse. One concept. One family growing together — every week.
